Catalysing the global take up of the Blue Dot Network.

The need for quality infrastructure development around the globe far exceeds available public resources. Leaders from the Blue Dot Network Steering Committee along with senior executives came together to discuss the key role of the private sector in filling this gap and how the Blue Dot Network can mobilise investment into quality projects.

Opening remarks were delivered by Elsa Pilichowski, Director of the OECD Public Governance Directorate and Richard R. Verma, Deputy Secretary of State for Management and resources of the U.S. State Department (in the photo).

The panel was then joined by Helene Budliger Artieda, State Secretary, State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, Switzerland, José Manuel Entrecanales Domecq, Chairman & CEO, ACCIONA, Philippe Valahu, CEO, Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG), John W.H. Denton, Secretary General, International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and Başar Arıoğlu, Chairman, Yapı Merkezi İnşaat. Edwin Lau, Interim Head of the Blue Dot Network Secretariat moderated the discussion.

On April 9th, representatives from the Blue Dot Network member countries, Australia, Japan, Spain, Switzerland, Türkiye, the United Kingdom and the United States came together with the OECD Secretary-General, Mathias Cormann, to celebrate the hosting of the Blue Dot Network Secretariat at the OECD.
