The High-Level Leaders’ Dialogue explored how governments and the private sector can work together to promote the global take up of the Blue Dot Network certification. It brought together leaders from the Blue Dot Network member governments and business, represented in the Executive Consultation Group, a community of over 200 business and civil society leaders who have supported the Blue Dot Network’s development.

The OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann hosted the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Richard R. Verma and the Swiss State Secretary for Economic Affairs Helene Budliger Artieda and other members of the Blue Dot Network Steering Committee to officially launch the Blue Dot Network certification framework hosted at the OECD.

The Blue Dot Network Executive Consultation Group met at the OECD in Paris to help set the priorities for the global roll-out of the Blue Dot Network, identify enabling factors for successful adoption, particularly in developing and emerging economies, and help to define the role of technology in the implementation of the certification.

After three years of development involving extensive input from the private sector, civil society, trade unions and BDN member governments, and road-testing on a number of infrastructure projects, we are releasing the Blue Dot Network certification framework.
